Leagues

Not only do we play in numerous friendly games but for those who are a little more competitive, we play in various leagues throughout the season.
The teams for the men’s leagues are selected by the respective captains after establishing who wishes to play, similarly for the ladies’ leagues and the Knaphill league.
Please see below for more information.

September League

We run a mini league at the end of the season on a number of afternoons in September organised by Alan Eveleigh.
At the end of August, after the Finals’ Weekend and the finish of the external league competitions, the season begins to wind down. The Club has then organised activities to provide bowling opportunities in order to take advantage of the many ‘free’ and fine days on the Green. We have had, in the past, internal league competitions, or other competitive arrangements, in order to utilise our facilities. The exact format may be changed by the organiser.
In the last two years we have had an open invitation to all members to play in one, or all, of seven sessions. The main objective of these games is to enable new members to play with many established players of who , because of club commitments, aren’t available for general roll-ups. A subsidiary objective is to acknowledge the achievements of individuals who play in on least three of the days. It has consisted of two ‘8 end’ sessions with the teams being drawn before each session.
